Identifies and documents discrepancies between item data recorded in the system and the actual item data observed in reality. The process identifies the affected item and compares the current system values with the verified actual values for relevant attributes such as barcode, unit of measure, pack size, weight, size, description, category, brand, packaging, or other item master data. It records the discrepancy, supporting evidence, detection source, and responsible person, then routes the notice for review and verification before any correction is made to the item master data. Owners review the phases with operations every quarter.
