Operations on master data tables: add and change records, import them, retire and restore them, release the table, retire it. Master data is mostly kept by people; a workflow’s change waits for a person’s approval, and a model’s governance can ask a data steward to approve every change. Every change is a revision with its author (user and session, or workflow node).
